Kenneth June Porter

Kenneth June Porter, 75, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:15 P.M., Sunday, April 4, 2004 at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Kenneth worked at Marshall Browning Hospital for over thirty years as an X-ray technician.  He was a member of First Christian Church in Du Quoin and Du Quoin American Legion Post 647.  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He was born June 11, 1928 at Vergennes, IL, the son of Delbert and Clara (Casleton) Porter.
He married Juanita F. Satterfield on October 29, 1965 at Du Quoin and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, four daughters - Cathy Moehring and husband Gene of Cobden, Lou Anne Lehman of Du Quoin, Kendra Jeremiah and husband Jerry of Du Quoin and Amy James and husband Jesse of Du Quoin, one sister - Darlene Jones of Du Quoin, two sister-in-laws - Ruby Brock and Louise Galloway both of Du Quoin, two brother-in-laws - Walter and Gene Satterfield both of California, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers - Howard, Homer, Bert, Lloyd and Alvin and one sister - Nina McMurray.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 8, 2004 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment was in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.
